EntourageThis Week On Entourage: Today’s the big day, it’s the Gatsby premiere, and Vince and boys are all trying to figure out who they’re taking as dates. Turtle obviously brings Jamie, E decides to ask Sloan to accompany him “as friends,” Vince decides upon some one night stand chick, and Drama ends up asking a sexy retail clerk.

At the agency, Ari has his wife get to know Andrew’s wife Mario- as they’re all going to the premiere together -but then finds out that Andrew might be having an affair with the new hot-shot agent Lizzy (The O.C’s Autumn Reeser). Not good news for Gold, who tells Andrew to end the fling right away. Also, Loyd’s struggling with his diet to lose weight during the 100 days of hell.

Meanwhile, E moves into the new apartment and already has new neighbor Ashley (Alexis Dziena) really interested in him.

On the red carpet, Turtle is introduced by Jamie to the press as her boyfriend, everyone congratulates Vince, and E awkwardly runs into Ashley who received an extra ticket from her work.

Mrs. Ari and Mrs. Andrew are becoming rowdy best friends- which causes Ari to remind Andrew to get his shit together and end the affair with Lizzy.

E, on the advice of his buddies, tells Sloan that he wants to be more than a friend with her. But Sloan refuses.

Back at the house, E gets a call from Ashley, and a text message from Sloan apologizing. E deletes Sloan’s message, and decides to go over to Ashley’s house.

Hookups: None

Celeb Cameos: Jamie Lynn Sigler

Episode Importance: E and his relationships- A good part of the episode was dedicated to E who tries to figure out if he should stay single or risk it with Sloan. But after expressing his true feelings to his ex, he gets denied and then decides to pursue his new neighbor Lizzy.

Although the E and Sloan saga is destined to be- according to Jamie Lynn Sigler -E for now, is gonna test the waters else where.

Overall: All I can say is that there seems to be more E Murph and the boys and less Vinnie Chase and the boys.

The first half of the episode was fantastic: some classic well appreciated humor, the boys trying to find dates, everyone preparing for the big night, then the red carpet scenes. Really great stuff. But after that, it doesn’t really seem to be going anywhere.

There was some focus on Ari scolding Andrew, E expressing his feelings to Sloan, and then suddenly…the premiere’s over an they’re back at the house, end of episode? Wtf?

I would have loved to see MUCH more screen time dedicated to the glitz and the glam of the premiere- some partying, schmoozing with celebs, and maybe even a bit of the actual film.

Instead, E seems to be getting all the face time with his- “Do I wanna be single or in a relationship” shtick. I mean he’s with Sloan, he’s not with Sloan. And now this new thing with that stalker-like bugged-eyed annoying neighbor Lizzy?

In the words of Ari Gold, “I rather insert needles into my cock” than see that story line all season for our little Irish man.

C’mon Doug Ellin and co. I understand that the show has always rotated through giving each character a story arc and the spotlight, but if you’re gonna hype up the Gatsby premiere in the promos, then it should pretty much be ABOUT the party- Ari, Vince and the boys, like old times.

But overall, decent episode.

Rating: 3/5

Line(s) of the episode:

1) In the opening scene, when the boys are talking about Seth Rogan in Knocked Up:

Turtle: “His ugliness is oddly fascinating. Especially in Blu-ray. It just pisses me off.”

Drama: “Why would you be pissed off? I’m the one who was too good-looking to even get a audition for the role.”

2) Gotta go with Ari Gold’s perfect moment when he sees Vince on the red carpet:

Ari: “You ready? Alright, let’s go reintroduce you to the world!”

3) Drama’s priceless quote in the suit store, as he tries to get the retail clerk as a date for the premiere:

Drama: “She loves me. You should have seen her eyes bolt like the tailor who was measuring my inseam.”

Favorite moment(s):

1) No joke, seeing Sloan on the red carpet.

2) When Mrs. Ari proposes to Ari- who’s nervous about Andrew’s office fling- if the two couples should go to Cabo for New Years Eve. Only for Ari to quickly answer “Fuck New Years Eve. Overrated, overpriced.”

2) E’s awkward scene with his new neighbor Ashley in front of the boys: Ashley wants to make plans with E that night, only for him to answer that he’s going to the premiere- and doesn’t ask Ashley to come with, because he’s already going with Sloan. After a huge awkward pause, E gives an even more awkward half-hug/kiss good-bye, before Drama then breaks the silence and says straight up, “God E, you’re awkward!”

Funny shit by Johnny Drama.

Next Week: One Car, Two Car, Red Car, Blue Car- Turtle considers a new career path and enlists Ari’s help, while Charlie’s new TV show may spell problems for Eric.
