EntourageThis Week On Entourage:

With last season closing with Vince snagging the lead in Martin Scorsese’s The Great Gatsby, season six begins post production. The Gatsby premiere is a day away, Vince is set to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and is also finally pursuing his driver’s license (for a gig in an Enzo Ferrari film). E who’s been single and getting plenty of action, gets a call from Sloan about a house her friend is subletting, and tries to convince him to take it. Turtle and Drama are both busy, one deep in a relationship with Jamie Lynn Sigler from The Sopranos, and the other occupied by his hit TV show.

Life is all good at the Miller-Gold agency, according to Ari Gold, as personal investment from season five Andrew Klein, is signing top show runners. But Ari is confronted by his assistant Loyd about a promotion that he eventually responds to by proposing a 100-day test, to see if he’s ready.

Vince gets his license after bribing the instructor with tickets to the premiere, which makes a funny story to tell on Leno. But with everyone all occupied with their own shtick, Vince is left to chill in the mansion by himself for the night.

Hook-ups:

E with apparently one of many chicks, Vince and Sloan’s friend Amy in the car

Celeb Cameos:

Jay Leno and Jamie Lynn Sigler

The Importance Of The Episode:

Maturity- Vince realizes that  the days of Peter Pan and the lost boys are coming to an end, as everyone seems to be moving on. With E considering breaking off from the “frat house” and maybe getting back together with Sloan, Turtle in a relationship with Jamie, and Drama with his own apartment and successful TV show, Vince is suddenly- whether he admits it or not -a bit scared about the thought of being alone.

Just putting it out there, Emmanuelle Chriqui (Sloan) is a smokeshow by all means, but for some reason in this episode, the unintentional flirting with E makes any guy go fuck-all crazy.

And even Lloyd is finally moving on, as he stands up to super-jew agent Ari Gold to give him an ultimatum: ” promote me to an agent or peace out” . So much comic potential here, as Ari proposes the 100-day agent-pledgeship- where he has to obey his  every command.

Overall:

We don’t really see any main plot-line yet (although maybe it’ll be about making the new biopic about Enzo Ferrari, but we’ll see), but there is definitely a new found theme which will present some great character development. And I also cannot wait to see the Gatsby premiere- from what I’ve seen of the promo trailers, it’ll be nothing short of epic.

Rating:

3.5/5

Line of the episode:

Ari’s description to Lloyd about the 100 days of hell- “It’ll be worse than when you get your anal cherry popped, and hey, you just might.”

Favorite moment(s):

Because I’ve been anticipating this for so long, I’m gonna dish out three.

1) Ari high-fiving Vince on the way to The Tonight Show set, and ignoring Drama’s attempt, leaving him hanging. Hilarious and well-timed.

2) Ari discretely telling Lloyd to come over and meet him on his doorsteps at 10 pm sharp, only to then finally come outside at 1:30 am and find a loyal Lloyd still there sleeping on the steps, and kicks him in the ass to wake him up.

3) Last but not least, the last scene of Vince coming home at night only to find a dark and empty house, as all the boys are out doing their own thing. Touching and well played.
